Saharan Camel Caravan

You'll begin your Moroccan adventure in Ouarzazate, an oasis of comfort at the foot of the High Atlas Mountains. It's a gateway to the Sahara and has also been the site of many Hollywood movies. Finally, you'll experience the grandeur of the Sahara Desert as you go camel-trekking in the Erg Chebbi.

The Erg Chebbi lies to the South of the Tafilalet Valley. It is composed of veritable sand mountains surrounding hidden oases, groves of date palms and greenery; camp will be set up in the hollows between the dunes. We choose our nightly camp site based on the availability of water, pasture for the camels, and the beauty of the site.

We'll travel through the dunes as a caravan, rocking to the gentle movements of the camels or hiking along the crests of the dunes, discovering the secret life hidden in these limitless spaces. Your guide chooses the route carefully to find the firmest sand. The desert wind changes the sand each day and his sharp eyes and long experience in the desert ensures the safety of the caravan.

This tour offers a special value since it includes all meals from dinner on the day of your arrival through breakfast on the day of your departure.

This tour is only available from October to May (8 months a year) due to the intense heat of the Sahara Desert from June through September.
